SO LET’S GET TO YASMINE, WHO’S ALSO HIGHLIGHTING SOME OF OUR FUN THINGS TO DO OVER THE WEEKEND. EARTH DAY, AS YOU REMEMBER, STEVEN WAS EARLIER THIS WEEK, BUT CELEBRATIONS CONTINUE THIS WEEKEND. THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH IS HOSTING AN EVENT AT THE COMMUNITY CENTER ON PROSPERITY FARMS ROAD SATURDAY FROM 11 A.M. TO ONE. THERE WILL BE MUSIC BY THE NORTH PALM BEACH SYMPHONY. VERY NICE THERE. ACTIVITIES FOR ALL AGES AND RESIDENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO BRING A PAINTED BIRDHOUSE TO WELCOME LOCAL WILDLIFE. THAT SHOULD BE FUN. THE VILLAGE OF WELLINGTON, ALSO CELEBRATING AT THE WELLINGTON AMPHITHEATER FROM 10 A.M. TO 2 P.M. SATURDAY. THERE WILL BE FOOD TRUCKS, RAFFLES, KIDS ACTIVITIES, TREE PLANTING AND MORE. AND ON THE TREASURE COAST, YOU CAN CELEBRATE THE PORT SAINT LUCIE 65TH BIRTHDAY. IT’S HAPPENING AT THE PORT DISTRICT FROM 5 TO 8 P.M. SATURDAY. THE MO TOWNERS WILL BE PERFORMING, SO THAT’LL BE SOME GOOD MUSIC. THEY’LL BE KIDS ACTIVITIES AND FOOD TRUCKS, AND THEY’LL EVEN BE AWARDS GIVEN OUT TO PEOPLE WHO GO THE EXTRA MILE AND CARING FOR THE CITY’S ENVIRONMENT. WELL, IF YOU LIKE CORN, THIS IS THE EVENT FOR YOU. THE SWEET CORN FIESTA RETURNS THIS SATURDAY FROM 11 A.M. TO 5 P.M. YOU CAN ENJOY SOME HOT, BUTTERY CORN GROWN RIGHT IN THE GLADES AREA. THERE WILL ALSO BE A CORN EATING AND CORN SHUCKING COMPETITION, ORGANIZERS SAY. LAST YEAR’S STEVEN, THE WINNER. A 52 YEARS OF. MY GOODNESS IN 12 MINUTES 52. THIS IS ALL HAPPENING AT THE SOUTH FLORIDA FAIRGROUNDS, SO. AND IF YOU CAN STOMACH IT, YOU CAN WATCH THAT COMPETITION THERE. YOU SEE SOME OF IT RIGHT THERE. I’M ASSUMING IT’S HIM. I’M ASSUMING THAT MIGHT BE HIM. OH MY HIM. HE’S GOING IN. WOW. YES. AND SO TICKETS WILL BE ABOUT $10. $5 FOR, FOR KIDS WHO ARE UP TO FIVE YEARS OLD AND THEN FIVE AND UNDER ARE FREE. AND THE WEST PALM BEACH GREEN MARKET, A DIFFERENT SCENE HERE RECENTLY CLAIMED THE NUMBER ONE SPOT FOR USA TODAY. IT RETURNS DOWNTOWN ON CLEMATIS STREET ON SATURDAY, FEATURING 150 VENDORS, AND WILL RUN THROUGH MAY 30TH. THANK YOU FOR THAT VISUAL BECAUSE THAT MAN IS GOING TO BE JUST STUCK IN MY HEAD ALL MORNING.
