LAKELAND, Fla. (KLTV) – Former New Diana Eagle Austin Green drove in two runs in the Tampa Tarpons’ 11-8 win over the Lakeland Flying Tigers on Thursday.
The 23-year-old is hitting .182 in 33 at-bats this season.
Green started at first base and batted ninth. He went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run. In the fourth inning, Green hit a sacrifice fly to center field, scoring Hans Montero. In the eighth inning, Green grounded out to second base, scoring Bryce Martin-Grudzielanek.
Tampa (6-12) continues its series against Lakeland on Friday.
