ST. LUCIE COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — A 23-year-old woman was arrested after deputies say she posed as an FBI agent to scam an elderly victim in St. Lucie County out of money.

Investigators with the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office and deputies with the Broward Sheriff’s Office teamed up Friday to make a fraud arrest in North Lauderdale.

During the investigation, detectives say they uncovered a scheme in which JerQuasha Josephine-De’Ma Brown was deceiving the elderly victim by claiming to work with the FBI.

In the scheme, detectives say Brown would say she was investigating bank tellers and managers who were stealing money from their personal bank accounts.

The suspect(s) asked the victim to withdraw money from their personal bank accounts, claiming it would help the FBI catch the bank tellers and managers involved.

Authorities found probable cause to book Brown on multiple counts, including:
