LUTZ, Fla. (WWSB) – A woman in Lutz has been arrested and charged with illegally disposing of the body of a relative in 2025, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said.
The decomposing body of 78-year-old Jacquelyn Cirone was found in a wooded area in Lutz on Aug. 8, 2025.
The remains were initially unidentified, and detectives worked with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement using federal funding to analyze DNA to identify Cirone.
Detectives also determined that a family member caring for Cirone disposed of her remains in the woods after her death.
