In a move that broadens its local sports programming strategy, Beasley Media Group has reached an agreement with the Tampa Bay Rowdies to carry all matches during the 2026 season on “Florida Alumni Radio” WJBR Tampa (1010).
Under the deal, the station will serve as the flagship station, airing both home and away contests from the USL Championship regular season and the Prinx Tires USL Cup. The broadcasts will also be heard on the FM Translators W221DW Tampa (92.1) and W276CX New Port Richey (103.1), extending the team’s reach to a broader regional audience.
The addition of Rowdies soccer further diversifies a lineup that already includes football and basketball broadcasts tied to University of South Florida and Florida State University athletics.
For the Rowdies, the partnership represents a milestone in distribution. The club says the agreement ensures that, for the first time in franchise history, every match will be available to fans on both local television and radio. “Tampa Bay 44” WTOG-TV has served as the team’s exclusive TV partner since 2024.
Broadcast continuity will also be a key component of the rollout. The radio side will feature the same on-air team as the television broadcasts, including play-by-play voice Drew Fellios, analyst and former Rowdies goalkeeper Jeff Attinella, and sideline reporter Diandra Loux.
The partnership also extends beyond game broadcasts. Attinella recently launched the “Tampa Bay Rowdies Podcast,” recorded at Beasley’s St. Petersburg studios and distributed via the company’s podcast network as well as platforms including Spotify, iHeartRadio and the team’s YouTube channel. The weekly show features interviews with players and coaches, adding another layer of team-focused content to Beasley’s growing digital portfolio.
