MILTON, Fla. (WALA) – Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) officials say two people were killed and five hurt following an accident Friday night in unincorporated Milton, Florida.
They say a pickup truck with six people was traveling east on Cornfield way and an SUV with one occupant was traveling north on American Farms Road, and both vehicles collided in the intersection.
Authorities say the accident happened at about 11:25 Friday night.
FHP says the pickup struck some trees and overturned.
Authorities say two occupants of the pickup truck were ejected and declared deceased on scene.
They’re identified as a 19 year old female and 19 year old male, both from Milton.
FHP says one other occupant in the pickup truck, a 19 year old female, was critically injured as a result of the crash.
Authorities say a Florida Highway Patrol Traffic Homicide unit responded to the crash scene and is conducting a comprehensive investigation on the matter.
