FRISCO — The Cowboys selected Florida cornerback Devin Moore with the second of their three fourth-round picks on Saturday in the NFL draft.

Moore (6-3, 198 pounds) had two interceptions and four pass breakups with 35 tackles in 2025.

Moore, who was taken with pick 114, has endured injury issues at Florida. He’s missed 20 games because of a variety of health problems. He also missed the Senior Bowl to get sports hernia surgery. Moore said he’s fully healthy, yet NFL teams asked him several questions about his health.

“That was kinda the main question I was getting from teams,” Moore said Saturday. “But I just had to make sure to reinstate I’m healthy and I’m ready to go right now and excited to get working.”

It’s interesting the Cowboys would go down this path because team owner and general manager Jerry Jones said the team didn’t have time to select players who are dealing with injuries.

However, on Friday night, Jones hinted that could change as the draft progressed.

“Yeah, we think about redshirting them, and [Day 3] is the place to do it,” Jones said of injured players. “Not in the second [round], where I’ve done it before and drew back enough. It didn’t work. You can get a guy that should be selected in the first round that you can end up getting in the second [round] a lot of times. But he can disappoint because of the availability. But the fourth [round], if the right situation is there, with the right prognosis, and by the way, for a good one to be there, then it’s probably only the man upstairs really knows how it’s going to turn out.”

The Cowboys conducted a formal interview with Moore at the NFL Scouting Combine and had Zoom calls.

When he played, Moore was productive. In four seasons, he had five interceptions, 14 pass breakups along with 64 tackles.

Moore’s strengths might be more in zone coverage, though he said he can play in man-to-man as well.

“They’re getting a physical specimen,” Moore said. “I feel like I’m long, tall and can run, and I can also pair that with my mental ability and react fast on the field also, know what’s coming and just a great person overall also.”
