PORT ST. LUCIE — On Oct. 17 and 18, residents of Port St. Lucie spent their evening at Dance 4 Life Academy’s very own Halloween Town, packed with trunk-or-treating, face painting, glitter tattoos, carnival games, food, and of course, haunted houses and scares.

Taking place at the 600 SW Darwin Blvd plaza, hundreds of families filled the parking lot and studio grounds for two nights of Halloween fun, as music played and kids showed off their costumes before the end of the month.

Dance 4 Life owner and director Chelsea Bruce said the academy is celebrating 16 years of love and passion for the arts, striving to create a family-friendly atmosphere that inspires dancers and their families. “This business has made such an impact on dancers’ lives as well as the community,” Bruce said. “We strive to provide a place where families can come together and celebrate the arts through our productions and events.”

For the past few years, Dance 4 Life has hosted its annual haunted houses over a weekend in October in order to fundraise for the dancers’ future events, and each year’s event continues to grow bigger and more elaborate. This year’s Halloween Town continued that tradition, offering families an immersive Halloween experience complete with games, haunted houses, and student-run activities.

Dance 4 Life partnered with local vendors and community organizations to make the event even more special.

Guests enjoyed food from Georgia Gurl Soul Food, T3 Lemonade, and the studio’s very own parent-run Booster Club, while the Marines set up a booth to engage with families. The collaboration helped create a fun, festive atmosphere and showcased the support of local businesses and groups in bringing Halloween Town to life.

With Halloween Town wrapped, Dance 4 Life is already looking ahead to its next big production. On Dec. 20, the studio will bring Whoville to life in its winter showcase, Welcome to Whoville. The event promises more family-friendly fun, performances by talented students, and another chance for the community to celebrate the arts and support the dancers.
