INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Florida Highway Patrol officials are investigating a fatal crash that occurred early Tuesday west of U.S. 1 in the area of 19th Avenue Southwest, the agency said.
Troopers responded to the scene at 5:39 a.m. at the intersection of 19th Avenue Southwest and Oslo Road in Indian River County. Details about the number of vehicles involved, the cause of the crash or the identities of those killed were not immediately available.
A roadblock was set up in the area as investigators worked the scene, and motorists were advised to avoid the intersection if possible.
The crash remains under investigation, and further information will be released as it becomes available, FHP said.
Authorities did not respond to requests for additional comment Tuesday morning.
