TAMPA, Fla. (CBS12) — Investigators have discovered a body in the waterways of Tampa Bay as they continue their search for Nahida Bristy, a missing University of South Florida student.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said on Sunday night that the body was located near the Howard Frankland Bridge, where Zamil Limon’s body was found on Friday.

However, officials stated that positive identification of the remains has yet to be determined.

Both Limon and Bristy were reported missing over a week ago.

During a court hearing on Saturday, prosecutors filed first-degree murder charges against Limon’s roommate, Hisham Abugharbieh, 26, who was taken into custody by a SWAT team on Friday following a domestic disturbance call.

Authorities reported that they now have additional evidence against the suspect.

Bristy’s brother has stated that detectives informed him that his sister’s body may be difficult to locate, but they have determined she is deceased based on evidence from the crime scene.

Abugharbieh has an extensive criminal record, which includes previous charges of domestic violence.
