1. Officials: Revamped Tampa-St. Pete ferry to have two boats, operate every day
Tampa and Pinellas County officials met Monday and announced the updated developments regarding the return of the new Tampa Bay Ferry service, which ended In April 2025.

Former Florida Gov. Charlie Crist has filed to run for St. Petersburg mayor. He filled out the paperwork Monday afternoon at City Hall.
3. Man charged with attempted assassination of Trump in White House correspondents’ dinner shooting
The man who authorities say tried to storm the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner with guns and knives was charged Monday with the attempted assassination of President Donald Trump and will remain at least temporarily behind bars as the case moves forward.
4. Core stage of NASA’s Artemis III delivered to Kennedy Space Center
Now that the Artemis II mission has wrapped up, NASA is gearing up for the next mission as the Artemis III’s core stage was delivered on Monday at the Kennedy Space Center.

RAYS START SERIES IN CLEVELAND | The Tampa Bay Rays, who have won four straight games, hit the road tonight for the first of three games at the Cleveland Guardians. Steven Matz will start for Tampa Bay, with first pitch set for 6:10 p.m.
TAMPA LANE CLOSURE | The outside southbound lane of Florida Avenue between West Fletcher Avenue and West Prince Street will be closed on Tuesday as the Tampa Water Department works to perform maintenance on the distribution system. The completion of the work with a return to normal traffic patterns is expected by Friday, May 1 at 4 p.m.
