MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WSMV) – A Florida man was arrested for driving under the influence over the weekend in Mt. Juliet following a 911 call from a concerned driver, according to the Mt. Juliet Police Department (MJPD).
MJPD said a 911 call was made reporting that a driver on Interstate 40 was unable to stay in their lane and that the driver had nearly hit multiple people on the interstate.
“Using Flock 911 live audio, the officer monitored real-time updates from the caller, allowing him to position himself as the vehicle exited at Mt. Juliet and entered the city,” MJPD said.
After observing the driver, MJPD conducted a traffic stop.
During the stop, MJPD said the officers found the 37-year-old driver from Florida to be under the influence, and located two open containers in the vehicle. The driver was also found to not have a valid license, MJPD said.
The 37-year-old was arrested and charged with DUI and having an invalid driver’s license.
