Three men were arrested in Tampa after deputies say they found guns and drugs during a warrant search, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

TAMPA, Fla. — Guns and drugs were found by deputies after they served and executed a warrant in Tampa last Friday.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said Monday that Jayshod Nereus, 30, Janos Borgella, 26, and Ira Strappier, 32, were arrested after deputies found and seized drugs and weapons in a residence.

Deputies say that during the search, detectives found a handgun, semi-automatic rifles and a shotgun. Additionally, they located 1.25 pounds of cannabis, “a trafficking amount of oxycodone,” cocaine and drug paraphernalia, deputies said.

Nereus remains in jail, according to jail records, and is now facing multiple charges, deputies said, such as armed possession of cocaine, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and possession of a short-barreled rifle. HCSO added that Nereus had an outstanding warrant for reckless driving.

Borgella was charged with armed possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, armed trafficking of oxycodone, among other charges. Strappier was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant for failure to appear, deputies said.

Jail records indicate that Borgella was released on bond on Sunday, while Strappier was released on Friday, also on bond.
