KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – At least 10 structures were damaged in Miami County during Sunday afternoon’s severe storms.
The Miami County Sheriff’s Office says the structural damage ranges from minor to complete destruction.
No injuries have been reported at this time.
Officials say power poles and trees were damaged as well, with power lines remaining down in the area north of 255th Street and south of 239th Street along Pressonville Road.
“Due to the extent of structural damage, the Tornado Strike Team was requested, bringing additional fire and EMS resources to assist with search and rescue operations,” the Sheriff’s Office said on Facebook.
Officials says they will continue to assess the impacted areas.
