TALLAHASSEE, Florida—Urban Street Development (USD) announced the completion of the Stadium Tower expansion of Hotel Indigo Tallahassee – CollegeTown. The addition brings 94 new guestrooms, including six two-bedroom suites, and 5,500 square feet of frontage retail to the existing 143-room hotel, bringing the total to 237 rooms. The expanded property is now open ahead of graduation season.

The property is positioned in CollegeTown, facing Doak Campbell Stadium, the south entrance of FSU, all on-campus sports complexes, including baseball, softball, and soccer venues, and the Tallahassee Airport. Its location also places guests close to local restaurants, nightlife, and everyday activity, while also offering convenient access to Downtown Tallahassee and nearby campus destinations.

“We’ve seen firsthand that demand to be near the CollegeTown district extends well beyond football season, from graduation and move-in weekends to family visits, university events, and activity throughout the city,” said Alan Hooper, co-founder of Urban Street Development. “This expansion is a response to that momentum. It gives the Hotel Indigo the ability to welcome more guests, offer more flexibility and continue building an experience that feels elevated, well-located, and connected to the energy of the district.”

In addition to expanded room inventory, the hotel offers a mix of standard rooms and suites, on-site dining at R&R Eatery, flexible meeting space, a 24-hour fitness center, and on-site parking. The new retail space fronts the Gaines Street and Woodward Avenue roundabout, with a covered patio and prominent street frontage suited for a food and beverage operator.

“There are very few locations in Tallahassee where a food and beverage operator can step into this kind of high visibility and steady traffic flow from the outset,” said Tim Petrillo, co-founder of Urban Street Development. “Between the hotel, the universities, and the surrounding district, this is one of the strongest locations in the market for steady traffic throughout the week, not just on game days.”

Hotel Indigo Tallahassee – CollegeTown is operated by partner Park Place Hospitality Group under the Hotel Indigo brand by IHG. USD again worked with Ai3, the same architecture firm behind the original hotel, to ensure the Stadium Tower complements the hotel’s existing design with steel, exposed concrete, and black brick walls.

“What has made this hotel successful from the beginning is that it delivers an experience that guests remember,” said Jeremy McCauley, president of Park Place Hospitality Group. “This expansion gives us the ability to build on that with more room options, added flexibility and a stronger overall offering for the travelers who choose to stay with us in Tallahassee.”
