Police respond to fatal shooting at Fort Pierce pawn shop

AND ARI, I KNOW IT’S STILL AN A VERY ACTIVE SCENE. TODD AND I JUST TALKED TO FORT PIERCE POLICE A VERY SHORT TIME AGO, AND THEY TELL ME THAT THEY CAN CONFIRM THAT THEY BELIEVE THAT THIS IS A HOMICIDE. BUT RIGHT NOW THEY SAY THAT’S ABOUT ALL THEY CAN CONFIRM. YOU CAN SEE, LIKE WE MENTIONED, IT’S A VERY ACTIVE SCENE STILL, FOR THE LAST COUPLE OF HOURS, MOST OF THE POLICE OFFICERS HAVE BEEN STANDING IN THE PARKING LOT OUT HERE. BUT IN JUST THE LAST COUPLE OF MINUTES, THEY WERE ABLE TO GET INSIDE THE STORE TO REALLY BEGIN THIS INVESTIGATION. LET ME SHOW YOU SOME VIDEO FROM WHEN WE FIRST ARRIVED A LITTLE WHILE AGO. POLICE TELL ME THEY GOT THE CALL AROUND 715 TONIGHT TO COME TO THIS PAWNSHOP ON U.S. ONE. IT’S CALLED WE BUY GOLD AND SILVER. POLICE SAY WHEN THEY GOT HERE, THEY FOUND THE BODY OF AN ADULT MALE INSIDE. THEY SAY HE APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN SHOT TO DEATH. INVESTIGATORS HAD TO WAIT FOR HOURS FOR A SEARCH WARRANT SO THEY COULD GO BACK INSIDE. LIKE I MENTIONED, IT APPEARS AS THOUGH THEY JUST RECEIVED THAT WARRANT. Fort Pierce police are investigating a fatal shooting at Cash Out Gold and Silver, a pawn shop located on U.S. Highway 1 in Fort Pierce. Police responded to the call around 7:30 p.m. Upon arriving, officers entered the pawn shop and discovered the body of an adult male who appeared to have been shot to death. Authorities are waiting for a search warrant to enter the shop and begin their investigation. No suspects are in custody at this time.This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.

Fort Pierce police are investigating a fatal shooting at Cash Out Gold and Silver, a pawn shop located on U.S. Highway 1 in Fort Pierce.
Police responded to the call around 7:30 p.m. Upon arriving, officers entered the pawn shop and discovered the body of an adult male who appeared to have been shot to death.
