TAMPA, Fla. — A Weather Impact Alert has been issued for Saturday night into Sunday afternoon as a weather system will bring a chance for scattered rain and storms that could impact weekend plans. 

An isolated strong to severe storm with gusty wind (upwards of 55-60 mph) will be possible, as will waterspouts, but widespread severe weather is not expected. 


Weather Impact Alert Saturday-Sunday:


What: 

Scattered rain and storms. Heavy downpours, gusty wind and lightning are possible.


When:

 8 p.m. Saturday – 3 p.m. Sunday 


Impact: 

Weekend plans could be impacted by rain and storms. For Saturday night, any evening plans after 7 p.m. could be impacted, especially from Tampa and areas north. Widespread rain continues overnight into Sunday morning. A few storms linger into the early afternoon south of I-4.
