TAMPA — Zamil Limon and Nahida Bristy will be remembered with a number of events scheduled for later this week.
The two USF doctoral students were last seen on April 16. Limon’s remains were discovered early Friday near the Howard Frankland Bridge. The search continues for Bristy.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said Sunday that remains were found in the same area where Limon’s remains were found, but they haven’t identified them.
Hisham Abugharbieh, 26, faces two charges of first-degree murder, among other charges, in connection with the case.
A funeral prayer will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Islamic Society of Tampa Bay. The address is 7326 E Sligh Ave. The community is invited to attend.
A vigil will be held Friday, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Crescent Hill on campus.
USF Athletics will hold a moment of silence for Limon and Bristy, and a tribute will appear on the video boards, before Friday’s baseball game against Florida Atlantic.
A remembrance will also be held during next week’s commencement ceremonies.
