Five NFL teams unveiled new or updated uniforms this spring, including the Atlanta Falcons, Baltimore Ravens, Los Angeles Rams, Tennessee Titans and Washington Commanders, which left us wondering how many other teams are in desperate need of a redesign.

With that, we’ve identified five teams that we’d like to see unveil a new uniform design for the 2027. The list won’t include teams that have undergone changes within the last few seasons, as they’re only permitted on a five-year cycle.

Up first is the Jacksonville Jaguars, who already appear to be in the process of adopting a throwback-inspired design in the near future after wearing their “Prowler” throwback uniforms the league maximum of four times last season.

We know it won’t be a one-for-one recreation of those uniforms if/when that happens, since the Jaguars updated their logo in 2013 and they feature their original logo on the helmets, as well as a full-bodied version on the sleeves.

But it could be as simple as updating them to include modern logo(s) and adding white road and black alternate jerseys and black pants, something executive vice president of football operations and former offensive tackle Tony Boselli has been hinting at for the last year.

“I love those old-school jerseys just like our fans do,” Boselli said last spring, shortly after he stepped into his front-office role. “Be patient with us and we’ll do everything we can to get to where all of us want to be at the right time.”

The Jaguars are in the midst of a massive stadium renovation and will play the 2027 season at Camping World Stadium in Orlando before returning to EverBank Stadium in 2028, so it’s possible a redesign is delayed until then.

That didn’t stop the Titans from unveiling their new Oilers-inspired uniforms this offseason, as they’ll play one final season at Nissan Stadium before moving into a domed venue with the same name in 2027, so it’s not out of the question for the Jaguars to follow suit.

As for the full wardrobe, the Jaguars could potentially bring back their white alternate helmets – which were worn for just one season – and introduce new teal pants to complement a Prowler-inspired set, though teal pants only entered the fold in 2018 with their current design.

Adding the stripe from their white throwback pants and a teal facemask would seamlessly connect their white alternate helmets to the look, while we’d love to see them also introduce a silver (or gray) helmet and pants as a nod to their original prototype design.

Overall, Jacksonville would be replacing a stripped-down design with a classic look that features some modern touches, as well as the option to mix-and-match newer elements as the league has relaxed its uniform restrictions in recent seasons.

Stay tuned as we’ll discuss the changes we’d like to see from four more teams in the coming days, with one or two seeing simple tweaks to their designs, while others will see a complete overhaul. As always, we’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
