PUNTA GORDA, Fla. (WINK) — The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help to identify a woman whose body was found in Hunters Creek at the end of March.
The Major Crimes Unit said they are treating the death as suspicious until a cause of death can be determined and suspicious involvement is ruled out.
Investigators said they have determined the woman was between 50 and 80 years old. She was approximately 5’5″ tall, had light hair, and wore purple nail polish on her toes.
Detectives believe she may have had some medical issues prior to her death, although no official cause of death has been determined.
Authorities said the body was discovered near Peace River RV and Fish Camp, Peace River Shores, and Palm Shores off US17 in Punta Gorda.
