TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A Tallahassee woman is celebrating a major milestone as she turns 101!
Mrs. Carrie Hoffman marked the special day surrounded by friends and family on Wednesday. She was born in Plant City, Florida, and has six children and now has six grandchildren.
More good news:
Hoffman graduated from Florida A&M University, back when it was called FAMC, and was even crowned Miss FAMC in 1942 when she was only a freshman.
Two of her children joined her on the day of her big celebration, saying they were so happy and grateful to enjoy this time with her.
“She shows me how to age gracefully, so that when I approach that time, hopefully, prayerfully, then I will be prepared and can age gracefully like she has.”
