STUART, Fla. (CBS12) — A brush fire has ignited within Foxwoods Estates, prompting a response from Fire Rescue and sheriff’s deputies as they work to contain the blaze, believed to be sparked by a downed power line.

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office reported a brush fire occurring inside Foxwoods Estates, which is located off Pratt Whitney Road near SW Meadowlark Circle at 7:02 a.m.

Authorities confirmed that both Martin County Fire Rescue teams and sheriff’s deputies are on the scene managing the blaze.

Officials said as of now, no homes have been evacuated, although officials are closely monitoring the fire’s progress.
