FLORIDA, Fla. (WWSB) – Florida drivers are seeing another jump at the pump.
The statewide average for regular gas was $4.163 a gallon, according to AAA. That is up about 18 cents from $3.983 a week ago.
In the Bradenton-Sarasota-Venice area, the average for regular was $4.167 a gallon. A week ago, it was $3.982.

The Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater metro area was slightly higher, with regular at $4.176 a gallon. That compares with $3.986 a week earlier.

Prices in Punta Gorda and Miami were also elevated. Regular averaged $4.151 in Punta Gorda and $4.141 in Miami, according to the AAA website.
The latest numbers also show Florida drivers are paying more than they were a month ago and far more than they were a year ago. The statewide average for regular was $3.954 a month ago and $3.148 a year ago.
Diesel remained high as well. Florida’s statewide diesel average was $5.266 a gallon, though that was below the record average of $5.820 listed in the graphic for April 2, 2026.
Regular gas has not yet matched its statewide record. The graphic lists Florida’s highest recorded average for regular unleaded at $4.891 on June 13, 2022.
In the Bradenton-Sarasota-Venice market, the current regular average is still below the area’s record of $4.889. In the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater area, it also remains below the listed record of $4.903.
