Mom alert! Mother’s Day will be here before you know it.
You need to start making plans right now to celebrate the maternal bond that makes your life worth living. And no, that isn’t an exaggeration. Maters matter … especially on Sunday, May 10.
Don’t panic. We got you. You just need to remember one word: Brunch.
We have it on good authority (basically our own mothers told us in no uncertain language) that they all love brunch. Mama like.
So here you go: This guide is in no particular order, and keep in mind that prices do not include taxes and gratuities.
Galuppi’s, 1103 N. Federal Highway, Pompano Beach, will have an all-female band performing rock and country music after brunch (and a DJ spinning during). The buffet will include crab legs, smoked salmon, oyster on the half shell, peel-and-eat shrimp, ahi tuna, carved prime rib, honey ham, breakfast dishes and more. Sunness Supper Club

Sunness Supper Club, 2465 E Sunrise Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, will offer a Mother’s Day Brunch starting at 11 a.m., with special dishes such as South Carolina Benedict, Crispy French Toast, Southern Fried Chicken & Waffles, Maine Lobster Roll, Smoked Salmon & Caviar Brunch Board, Shrimp Salad Waldorf and a Grouper Tempura Sando. Cornell Cafe at Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens, 4000 Morikami Park Road, Delray Beach, will host Haha no hi (Japanese for “Mother’s Day”) from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the open-air Pan-Asian eatery overlooking a lake. Special menu offers will be slow-roasted duck glazed with citrus-orange sauce and served with cilantro-infused rice and a vegetable medley ($29), pancake bites filled vanilla custard ($8) and yuzu mimosa ($10). Cornell Cafe

Military Trail, Boca Raton, will serve brunch from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with special dishes such as Tomato Bisque & Grilled Cheese ($11), Tuscan Breakfast Focaccia ($24), Lemon Blueberry French Toast ($19) and an Energy Poke Bowl ($25). There will also be special craft cocktails including Mommas Day Off Martini ($14), Peach or Mango Mom-Mosa ($12), Butterfly Effect Elixir ($10) and Farmers French 75 ($14). Ten Palms at Gulfstream Park, 901 S. Federal Highway, Hallandale Beach, will allow you to spend Mother’s Day at the track with a brunch from 11:30 a.m. through the last race. There will be a made-to-order omelet station, seafood bar and assorted desserts for $85 per person (half price for children ages 5 to 12 and free for those younger than 5 with a paying adult).The brunch also includes one mimosa or beer. Oceanic at Pompano Beach Pier, 250 N. Pompano Beach Blvd., Pompano Beach, will host an Oceanfront Brunch Buffet starting at 11 a.m. on the rooftop terrace, with carving stations, made-to-order omelets, seafood displays, breakfast favorites, salads and desserts for $69 per adult and $20 for children age 10 and younger. There will also be a free glass of prosecco for mom. You can opt to dine downstairs or on the patio with Oceanic’s signature a la carte brunch menu from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (with live music from noon to 3 p.m.). Olive & Sea, 1881 SE 17th St., Fort Lauderdale, is a rooftop Intracoastal waterfront restaurant that will host a Mother’s Day brunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for $87 per person and $40 for children ages 6 to 12 (free for age 5 and younger). Chef-curated culinary options will include a Raw Bar, Omelet & Egg Station, Laffa Pizza Station, Pastas, Carving Stations (herb-roasted striploin and crispy porchetta) and Hot Buffets (citrus-marinated chicken, roasted Mediterranean salmon, bacon, sausage, French toast, rice pilaf, roasted potatoes, shakshuka). Special cocktails ($17 each) include Hibiscus Rose Spritz, Pineapple Daiquiri and Blood Orange Mule. There will also be an alcohol-free Vanilla Pear Delight for $12. Gary Rack’s Farmhouse Kitchen will feature special dishes at both locations (399 SE Mizner Blvd., Boca Raton and 204 E. Atlantic Ave., Delray Beach) made by Food Network celebrity chef Demetrio Zavala. The Mother’s Day offers will be available Saturday and Sunday, with brunch service available from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Delray Beach and 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Boca Raton. ONA Coastal Cuisine, 3800 N. Ocean Drive, Riviera Beach (inside the Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Beach Resort & Spa), will host a gourmet brunch buffet by the sea for Mother’s Day with two seatings: at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. There will be antipasto, seafood and salad displays, as well as a carving station (Kobe beef tri-tips and an herb-crusted bistecca) and a Parmigiano-Reggiano pasta wheel station. Other options will include pan-seared salmon and herb-roasted bruschetta chicken. A Kids Buffet station will feature chicken tenders, tater tots and macaroni & cheese. There will also be a chocolate fondue station and dessert station (mini pastries, cookies, fruit). The cost is $135 for adults, $45 for children ages 5 to 12, and free for children age 4 and younger.
