Sure, there’s probably something going on at your favorite bar for Cinco de Mayo.
But maybe consider checking out a special event to celebrate the May 5, 1862, victory of the Mexican army over the French Empire. Why is Cinco de Mayo a big deal in the United States? Who cares SoFlo bro? It’s tequila time!
We love any reason to party, especially in that interminable seven-week stretch between Easter/Passover and Memorial Day. Soooo … on Tuesday, May 5, let’s all toast Mexico’s win at these five fabulous fiestas, plus an honorable mention.
Geronimo Tequila Bar and Southwest Grill, 105 E. Atlantic Ave., Delray Beach, is offering 5 Days of Cinco from Friday, May 1, through Tuesday, May 5, with all-day happy hours, drink specials, DJs, a fire dancer, a mariachi band and more (different entertainment is scheduled on different days). Visit geronimobarandgrill.com.
