Woman found dead in Pinellas County pond; investigation underway

PALM HARBOR, Fla. — An investigation is underway after a woman was found dead in a Pinellas County pond.

The sheriff’s office said late Wednesday morning that deputies responded to reports of a dead woman in the water in the area of Mermoor Drive in Palm Harbor.

Deputies say the death does not appear suspicious, and there is no threat to the public.

The investigation is ongoing.
