A cheeky iguana was caught stealing a waffle from holidaymakers in Miami, Florida, recently posted footage shows.

Christina English told Storyful she was eating breakfast at a nearby table at Embassy Suites by Hilton Deerfield Beach Resort and Spa in February when “all of a sudden, an iguana jumped out of the bushes and onto the table.”

The greedy green lizard “started eating the people’s food and stole the waffle.”

Hotel guests are heard reacting to the sight in the footage, in which the iguana even appeared to scare away a few pigeons also on the lookout for a snack.

“Get it boo, it’s yours,” English is heard saying behind the camera.
