• Let’s see. The Orlando Magic playoff game is on ABC. No, wait, it’s on Peacock. No, wait, it’s on Prime. Oh, it’s on ESPN. Geez.
• I am ticked off that national TV newscasters continue to say “Florida” when relating a story out of Orlando, such as, “This story tonight out of Orlando, Florida.” Really? Do they mention Nevada connected to a story out of Las Vegas? How about Atlanta or El Paso? I can understand mentioning Florida if the story is related to some Sunshine State hamlet in the Panhandle. But who doesn’t know where Orlando is located? When someone asks, “Where are you from?”, all you have to say is Orlando.
• I am upset that the neglect of South American two-toed sloths resulted in these gentle animals’ deaths, yet those responsible for the neglect are not even being charged with any law violation.
• I am ticked off that I sent emails to Orlando Sentinel writers who wrote about the poor sloths, asking for help by writing how we can get our prepaid VIP tickets back from Sloth World! No one has addressed this and Sloth World won’t respond. I’m on a Social Security income and need my $100 back! It was supposed to be a birthday surprise for a friend.
The flip side
• Thank you to the Theatre UCF students, who recently put on a production of “Legally Blonde” at the Dr. Phillips Center. This is Broadway-quality talent. We were so impressed by the acting, singing, costumes and sets. So amazing and fun!
