BOKEELIA, Fla. (WINK) — The Matlacha/Pine Island Fire Control District is responding to a boat fire occurring in Bokeelia.
The fire was reported to firefighters at around 4 p.m. on Friday.
WINK News viewer Dylan Crawford recorded footage of the boat fires intensifying in the Bokeelia waterways.
Reporter Miyoshi Price is en route to the scene, providing updates and new information as they become available.
WINK News contacted the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission regarding this boat fire and possible early causes.
The FWC public information officer responded with, “Nothing confirmed yet, it said 40–50-foot vessel near some mangroves with flames, we should have some units there soon to confirm.”
