AND HERE IT TOOK 8 MONTHS TO GET THE LICENSE. Seed and Bean opens Cape Coral location as Florida’s first cannabis cafe with a liquor license

Seed and Bean has expanded to Cape Coral, offering a unique experience with a full cocktail bar and becoming Florida’s first cannabis cafe with a liquor license. “I love the Seed and Bean Marketplace in downtown Cape Coral. It is amazing, just like the one in downtown Fort Myers. But listen, the one, they have a full cocktail bar,” said Cape Coral resident Sharetha Davis. As soon as Davis walked in, she was greeted by a full bar, the smell of delicious food, and a mural filled with everything that makes Cape Coral unique. “This one has quite a few more perks, especially when it comes to the painting and the ambiance that they created here. And it’s like the sliding glass windows, you can’t beat it,” Davis said. Obtaining a liquor license for the cafe was a challenging process for co-founder Cole Peacock. “Getting the liquor license had never really been done before. So we had to spend time going with the state and working through the process of what we’re doing, because we also have a marketplace in here,” Peacock said. The process took eight months, requiring permits and evaluations from the state. Now, Seed and Bean is the first cannabis cafe in Florida — and one of the first in the nation — to secure a liquor license. “We’ve got the beer and wine, the liquor, the coffee, the food that goes with it. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Not a lot of the restaurants here do that. And then you also have the ability to enhance your wellness components if you come in here,” Peacock said. For those who prefer alternatives, Seed and Bean provides non-alcoholic options or hemp beer and seltzers. “Enjoy that if you want, but you don’t have to. But if you’re looking for something, a non-alcohol alternative, which is a big thing these days, we have hemp beer, we’ve got seltzers,” Peacock said. The goal of the new location is to create a family-friendly environment with something for everyone.
