TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A line of steady and heavy rain will move through and bring some embedded thunderstorms. While most will NOT see severe weather, one or two storms could bring gusty winds or a brief tornado.
A stormy Saturday:

Rain will be around for most of the morning, so if you have outdoor plans or are heading to the grocery store, rain gear is a must!
Temperatures will stay in the 60s for most of the area, though a few spots in the southeast Big Bend could make it into the 70s. Breezy and partly cloudy this afternoon as rain and storms exit the region behind a cold front.
Much-needed rainfall. Totals between 0.50 and 1.00″ area-wide, with some heavier amounts under thunderstorms. I would not be shocked to see some isolated 1- to 3-inch pockets when we look at rain totals tomorrow.
Any rain is good, as we know, given the serious drought our area has been under since September.
Not a great beach or boating day. Outside of storms, winds will be breezy and onshore, producing waves between 3 and 4 feet and choppy conditions in inland waters and bays.
Drier to end the weekend:
The thermometers drop tonight into the 50s and upper 40s as skies clear. Will be a good night to open the windows and let some fresh air in and give the A/C a break.
More A/C free weather ahead. A nice spring-like Sunday with highs in the 70s and a good breeze.
Along the coast, winds out of the north between 15 and 20 knots, lowering to 10 knots in the afternoon. Waves 3 to 4 feet and choppy inland waters and bays.
Quiet start to next week:
Next week starts sunny and warm with temperatures in the 80s in the afternoon. Morning lows in the 50s.
Another front approaches late week, which will bring a chance for showers and storms Thursday and Friday.
