A man who was killed after he was shot in Southwest Miami-Dade was identified on Sunday, deputies said.

According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, the man who was killed was 30-year-old Deondre Curtwond Willis.

Deputies on Saturday arrived in the area of Southwest 217th Street and Southwest 112th Avenue following a ShotSpotter alert.

At the scene, deputies found Willis “suffering from apparent gunshot wound(s) to the upper extremities,” authorities said.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported Willis to Jackson Memorial Hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made as the investigation continues.
