The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s marine units rescued an adult and two kids stranded on a boat in Tampa Bay.
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — Marine units of the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office safely brought back a disabled boat with an adult and two kids on board, while they were stranded in the waters of Tampa Bay.
On Sunday, HCSO deputies released footage of the moment marine units assisted people on board while they were drifting on their boat into the commercial shipping channel on Saturday afternoon.
Deputies said they were contacted by Port Tampa Vessel Traffic about the disabled boat. When they arrived, the marine units said the vessel was moving into a risky area.
In the video, marine units are seen tying and securing the disabled boat. Then, they towed it to the Davis Islands boat ramp, where everyone was able to go back into the docks.
