MIAMI, Fla. (CBS12) — A federal grand jury has charged five South Florida men in an alleged cocaine pipeline moving drugs from Colombia through the Dominican Republic into Miami.
Prosecutors say five people were implicated in “Operation Mousetrap,” a law enforcement operation aimed at taking down a Miami-based distribution network moving kilogram quantities of cocaine, including:
38-year-old Daniel “Mickey” Hernandez of Miami45-year-old Frank Gonzalez of Hialeah50-year-old Alexander “Al Biggs” Walker Caraballo of Miami33-year-old Jose Luis “Lil Cuz” Diaz of Miami Gardens42-year-old Humberto “Kiki” Moreno of Miami
Officials say Hernandez was the main distributor, and the others acted as suppliers and associates.
Investigators say the entire operation was based out of a Midtown Miami high-rise used to store and prepare cocaine for distribution.

A search of the luxury apartment turned up about 536 kilograms of cocaine, 14 firearms, including an “unserialized” AK-47, and over $3.1 million in cash. Walker was arrested following that search, and additional cocaine and cash were later recovered from his vehicle.
Authorities say additional co-conspirators have also been charged or arrested, including individuals linked to suppliers in Colombia and the Dominican Republic.
Walker and Gonzalez are reportedly also charged with firearms offenses tied to drug trafficking.
The case stems from coordinated federal and local investigations targeting cocaine routes between Colombia, the Dominican Republic, and South Florida, according to the Department of Justice.
If convicted, the defendants face a mandatory minimum of 10 years in federal prison, with potential sentences up to life.
