Miami, FL – A Miami waterfront incident resulted in an arrest after a man was found aboard a private yacht without permission and made unusual claims about its ownership.
According to the Miami Police Department, officers responded to a report involving a man on a yacht docked along Northwest North River Drive.
Investigators allege the suspect, identified as 51-year-old Terry Roberts, boarded the vessel without authorization.
Authorities say Roberts told officers he was allowed to be there and claimed he was holding the yacht for President Donald Trump.
Police reports indicate he refused to leave the vessel when instructed, despite multiple warnings from officers on scene.
The registered owner of the yacht told police he did not know Roberts and had not given him permission to access the boat.
According to the arrest report, officers eventually took the suspect into custody after he allegedly continued to refuse commands.
Following the arrest, the owner reported damage to the vessel, including a broken interior door.
Investigators also allege that keys belonging to the yacht were missing and later found in Roberts’ possession during a search.
Authorities say Roberts is facing multiple charges, including burglary, grand theft, criminal mischief, resisting an officer without violence and petty theft.
The case remains under investigation as it proceeds through the legal system.
