A Cape Coral man was arrested on Sunday after being accused of attacking someone while in possession of a steak knife.According to the Cape Coral Police Department arrest report, officers responded to reports of an assault at around 3:05 p.m. Upon arriving at the residence, officers spoke with Jaxson Williams, 31, and the victim.Williams told officers that he had gotten into a verbal argument with the victim and that the victim had stabbed him in the face, the report said. Williams had a small cut on his chin and refused further medical treatment on the scene.The victim told officers that Williams had been drinking and causing verbal disturbances with everyone in the residence at the time. Williams then walked into the victim’s room. The victim asked Williams to leave so they could sleep, which caused Williams to become verbally aggressive, telling the victim he was going to grab a butcher knife, the report said.The victim then said Williams walked in the direction of the kitchen and returned, becoming aggressive, lunging toward the victim, CCPD said.
