The additions mark significant milestones for Tampa International Airport, including its first-ever service to St. Thomas and Breeze’s first flights to Mexico.

TAMPA, Fla. — Breeze Airways travelers have new, nonstop service options at Tampa International Airport.

The airline announced it’s providing its first-ever services to Cancun, Mexico, and St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, and you can purchase your tickets starting immediately.

Flights to St. Thomas will operate nonstop on Wednesdays and Saturdays starting Dec. 16, with fares beginning at $149 one way.

Nonstop service to Cancun will also run on Wednesdays and Saturdays, starting Dec. 18, with fares starting at $129 one way.

The announcement comes as Breeze Airways marks its fifth year in business this month, as the company says it is redefining what affordable air travel looks like.

“With these new routes Tampa, will now offer service to all of our international destinations and be the first to experience our new service to the beautiful U.S. Virgin Islands,” David Neeleman, Breeze Airways’ founder and CEO, said in a statement. “We know our Guests will loves these destinations and we look forward to launch this winter.”

The company was recently named to TIME Magazine’s TIME100 Most Influential Companies list for 2026.

Breeze has added several new non-stop services in 2026, including San Jose, Costa Rica, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, Atlantic City, NJ, Columbus, Ohio, and Fort Lauderdale.

“These two new routes mark exciting milestones for Tampa International Airport: Our first-ever flights to St. Thomas and Breeze Airways’ first-ever service to Mexico from TPA,” Michael Stephens, Tampa International Airport CEO, said in a statement. “Both destinations are in high demand among Tampa Bay travelers, and the timing couldn’t be better as we look ahead to this year’s busy holiday travel season. We can’t wait to celebrate the launch of these routes in December.”

Breeze currently operates hundreds of routes across the U.S., Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean, using its Airbus A220-300 aircraft and offering amenities such as flexible booking and free family seating.
