LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — A hands-on STEM program grounded at Little Rock Air Force Base is getting ready for takeoff again, thanks to a renewed partnership.

The Jacksonville-North Pulaski School District is teaming up with the Department of Defense and Little Rock Air Force Base to bring back STARBASE Arkansas, a program designed to give students interactive experiences in science, technology, engineering and math while helping them build skills for future careers.

STARBASE Arkansas had been suspended in February of last year because of a lack of funding. The district is aiming for the program start back up in August, expanding STEM opportunities for students across Arkansas.
