WATERVILLE, Maine (WABI) – A man from Florida was seriously injured in an accident while riding his motorcycle in Waterville Friday night according to police.
In a release from spokesperson Jason Longley, it happened just after 9 p.m. on College Avenue.
The driver of the motorcycle, Michael Wright, 39, of Keystone Heights, FL, was driving north before leaving the roadway and striking a curb, Longley says.
Wright was taken to Maine General Medical Center Thayer Campus in Waterville before being transported by LifeFlight to Maine Medical Center in Portland.
According to Longley, Wright’s condition appears to be improving.
The crash remains under investigation. Maine State Police will help Waterville Police in reconstructing the accident.
