FORT MYERS, Fla. (CBS12) — A 41-year-old mother from Fort Myers was arrested after she was caught on video kicking a juvenile player during a heated altercation on the field.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office said that the incident occurred during a Pop Warner game at Brooks Park, where deputies were assigned to provide security.
Witnesses reported a physical confrontation between two teams on the field when 41-year-old Renee Lambert was seen entering the field and kicking a juvenile player.
The Sheriff’s Office said that video footage clearly captured her actions, which raised concerns among those present.

Deputies quickly located Lambert and detained her. During questioning, she claimed that a child had struck her with a helmet, which prompted her to retaliate. However, officials said this assertion was later disproven.
