TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A 53-year-old man is in critical condition following a single-vehicle crash in Leon County on Tuesday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said a man from Tallahassee was driving a sedan eastbound on Lakeshore Drive and approaching Duparc Circle just after 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The man reportedly then crossed into the westbound lane and onto the north shoulder of the road for “unknown reasons.“ There, he struck a street sign and a utility pole and “continued traveling eastbound on the north shoulder.”
The sedan then crossed Duparc Circle and “entered a ditch,” where the front of the sedan hit a palm tree.

FHP said the sedan came to a stop on the north shoulder of Lakeshore Drive. The Tallahassee man was found inside the vehicle with critical injuries and taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
FHP was assisted on scene by the Leon County Sheriff’s Office, Leon County EMS and the Tallahassee Fire Department.
