Everyone loves Las Olas, Fort Lauderdale’s signature street. So everyone surely has an opinion about the high-end, five-story luxury watch store proposed for 1117 E. Las Olas Blvd., complete with champagne bar, bridal studio and shiny new Rolexes.

As our Susannah Bryan reports, critics say this store is way too large for its location, along the Himmarshee Canal. They say it’s 88 feet tall, or eight stories (the developer says 74 feet).

City leaders who must vote on this project need to hear from you. So tell us. Write to letters@sunsentinel.com. Pro or con, we will publish the best letters. The Fort Lauderdale City Commission is scheduled to vote on the project May 19.
