A K-9 officer located the woman, Kelly Marie Catrambone, in the marsh of the St. Lucie River, with assistance from a private boat captain around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Police said she was stuck in 2 feet of water near an island of mangroves and could not move. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Investigators do not know how long she was in the river, but she was dehydrated and disoriented.

Investigators searched the area and the waterway in the 700 block of Northeast Emerson Street, and the Dive Team was on the scene. The K-9 Unit and drones were deployed to the area.
