Cape Coral City Council approved a $132,862 Business Infrastructure Grant on May 6 for Architectural Metal Flashings LLC to support the expansion of its manufacturing facility.
The city’s Economic & Business Development Office recommended the grant for the company, which manufactures metal panels, flashings and other roofing and building components.
Architectural Metal Flashings has operated in Cape Coral since 2016 but has outgrown its current production facility because of rising demand. The proposed $1.3 million project will nearly double the size of the existing 12,000-square-foot facility at 2659 NE Ninth Ave.
The expansion is expected to create four full-time jobs with an average wage of $25 per hour and generate an estimated economic impact of $4.1 million.
