A Central Florida tradition now in its 73rd year will open up new custom-built homes to the public for modern living inspiration.
The Parade of Homes Orlando, presented by the Greater Orlando Builders Association, invites visitors to see 60 homes throughout Central Florida that showcase homebuilders, designers and apartment communities. With homes ranging from the low $300,000 range up to $13.5 million, the properties highlight architecture, energy efficiency, smart home features, outdoor living, interior design, remodeling and pool design.
“It’s an opportunity to get an idea of floor plans, color schemes, design trends that are out there, whether you want to remodel a home or build a new home,” said Chassity Vega, CEO of the Greater Orlando Builders Association. “Gather your family, gather your friends and go tour some homes. Add a little inspiration into your life.”
Dozens of homebuilders will seek to show off their skills to the public through tours and open houses from May 9 to 17.This year’s entries can be found from DeLand to Winter Haven, representing a six-county swath of Central Florida. Professional builders will also compete for awards based on craftsmanship and design judged by 20 industry professionals.

Vega said that homebuilding trends on display this year include smart home technology, flexible floor plans for multiple generations living under one roof, work from home spaces, community amenities and a shift from grays to more natural tones.
The Greater Orlando Builders Association will also donate a home to a veteran in partnership with Building Homes for Heroes as part of the event.
