TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Our Furry Friday dogs this week are in search of dog moms – and dads – this Mother’s Day weekend!
WCTV and the Tallahassee Animal Service Center team up each week to shine a spotlight on four adoptable dogs in hopes of helping them find their fur-ever homes, faster!
Here are the dogs we are featuring this week:
MEET CHERRY
Cherry is ready to jump back into family life and would be a sweet and spunky addition to your home!(WCTV)

This playful pup was adopted from the shelter as a puppy and is back now because her owner has some health issues and could no longer take care of her.
Cherry is sweet as can be! She’s into long walks, will sit for treats and will even dance for them!
She is a social butterfly … active, friendly, and always game for a few scratches.

MEET GOBIE
Gobie gets the all out zoomies and then snuggles up for some hugs & kisses!(WCTV)
Meet Gobie!
This sweet sir has a coat as soft as silk and a personality that’s just as shiny.
Gobie is alternately goofy and easy going.
He gets the all out zoomies and then snuggles up for some hugs & kisses.
This gentle boy loves his people and has a case of extreme cute-ness!
He can’t wait to find a family who thinks he’s as adorable as we do!

How he got to the shelter is a mystery. And why he’s still there is a mystery too.
Someone spent lots of time loving and training this young man.
Mystery is not his best self in a kennel. It’s out and about in the loving care of a trusted human that he shows his true colors.
Mystery is mister manners. He can sit, shake, lie down … you name it.
He is laid back, leash friendly and loves riding in the car with the windows down and the wind in his hair. Ok. I made that last part up. But Mystery is the real deal.

Zara is a real love muffin! Sashaying at your side, happy as a clam.(WCTV)
Meet Zara!
This lab is a real love muffin!
Zara soaks up all the love and attention you can give – back scratches, head scratches, ear scratches – all good!
Zara is the perfect walking companion, sashaying at your side, happy as a clam.
She enjoys playtime, loves pouncing on pillows and has lived with kids, dogs and cats.
Zara likes to show off her shiny, luxurious black coat and knows most basic commands.
She’s ready for a fresh start with an active, affectionate family who will sashay with her – and stay with her – on this adventure called life!

MEET AND GREET
You can meet these dogs and dozens more awaiting adoption at the Tallahassee Animal Service Center. It’s located across from Tom Brown Park at 1125 Easterwood Drive in Tallahassee.
You can walk through the kennels Tuesday through Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and can also visit by appointment the rest of the week from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
