ORLANDO, Fla. – A cold front is sweeping across Florida on Thursday, bringing the first real taste of fall.

Thursday
Behind this front comes a noticeable cooldown. Highs will run 5–10 degrees below normal, topping out in the low to mid-70s.
Expect west-northwest winds of 15–20 mph, with gusts up to 25–30 mph through the afternoon.
Lows Thursday Night
Thursday night will feel downright chilly for late October, with north to northwest winds helping temperatures dip into the mid- to upper 40s areas north and west of I-4 and the low to mid-50s elsewhere.
Some neighborhoods, like Leesburg and Daytona Beach, could dip quickly into the 40s. If that happens, it’ll be the first time temps have dropped below 50 since March 23!
Halloween
From Friday through Sunday, high pressure will settle over the area, calming the winds and keeping skies mostly clear.
Friday will stay cool, with highs in the low 70s, but temperatures will gradually warm through the weekend into the upper 70s by Sunday.
Halloween Forecast
Halloween evening looks comfortably cool, with temps in the 50s and 60s while trick-or-treaters are out.
Trick or Treating Forecast
Overnight lows Friday night will dip again into the upper 40s and low 50s inland, and the 50s along the coast, before slowly rebounding through the weekend.
Weekend
Most of the weekend stays dry, but by Sunday night an increase in onshore flow and moisture could spark a few coastal showers or isolated storms.
Rain chances are low for now but could rise as the pattern becomes clearer by early next week.
