Texas’s most famous burger chain is making a swift return to Tampa Bay.
Whataburger opened at 1426 W Brandon Blvd. on April 30. The Brandon location, like most Whataburgers, is open for dine-in and drive-thru 24/7.
The chain opened a Lutz location also in April and a Largo spot in February. Whataburgers are also planned for Orlando and Fort Myers later this year, adding to more than 50 Florida locations.
In 1959, Whataburger opened its first location outside of the Lone Star State in Pensacola. Tampa Bay was once home to at least eight Whataburger locations in the late-’90s and early-2000s, which have all closed.
