Man shoots, kills friend while ‘mishandling’ loaded weapon, Osceola deputies say

A 21-year-old man was shot and killed on Wednesday night after deputies say his friend “mishandled” a loaded weapon. The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office responded to Chatham Circle in Kissimmee where they found Orlando Jose Canizales with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital where he died. “It was determined that Mr. Canizales was shot by his friend while mishandling the loaded weapon,” OCSO said. Carlos Moises Garcia, 22, of Kissimmee, was arrested and charged with manslaughter with a firearm. He was booked into the Osceola County Jail.
