TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Some nasty thunderstorms rolled through the Big Bend and South Georgia early this afternoon, bringing damage to Gadsden and Leon Counties.

Some solid rain totals from the storms ranging from 1 to 3 inches across the northern parts of the area.

The weather from earlier today is long gone, and the area is just left with some isolated showers. The rain will continue to diminish through the evening.
Another round of storms tomorrow
Heading out the door tomorrow morning, the radar will look much quieter. You may run into some patchy fog. Morning lows in the mid-60s.
Partly sunny skies will help showers and storms develop tomorrow afternoon. There is a risk for strong storms tomorrow, while I do not think the storms will be as intense as they were today in Tallahassee and South Georgia, some Big Bend communities will see very heavy downpours, gusty winds and an isolated tornado risk.
The Storm Prediction Center has the area under a level one, marginal risk, for severe weather.

The best chance of showers and storms will be in the afternoon, south of Highway 84. Those who did not get the rain today might get the rain tomorrow.

Saturday and Mother’s Day both will feature a chance for showers and storms. It feels like Saturday will be the better chance for rain and storms. It also looks like Saturday will be the best chance of stronger storms, too. Highs in the mid-80s.

The front finally passes by on Tuesday and brings in some cooler mornings and less humid air. The sunshine should make a return, too. Highs still warm in the upper 80s.
